溶鉱炉で熱せられ、膨らんでいく吹きガラスのように、一見生命体のような意匠が特徴の「MELT(メルト）」。
見る角度によって形が違って見えることから、ハンドメイドのガラス製品のように見えますが、シェードは射出成型されたポリカーボネートでできています。
シェードの中は特殊な真空蒸着によって塗装され、シェード上部から底部にかけて塗装の濃度を段階的に変えることで、点灯時には、物体が溶けるような視覚効果を生み出し、消灯すると空気を漂う鏡面のオブジェへと変化します。
